Dear Finer Things,
Instead of shilling some bullsh*t roadmap and an over-promised product vision, I'm just going to come from the heart.
I began the ideation for this project in April of this year (2024), when the thought of an NFT was laughed at.
I have always wanted to bring my craft into this space, but I just did not know how. Music and crypto don't really f*ck with each other. So I spent the next 6 months really trying to figure out the most creative way to do so.
That is how I got here.
The question was always: How do I get people in this industry to f*ck with me and my music?* I was never going to make meme music or shill tickers. Not my game, not my brand.
I could have left web3 and just taken my talents to web2, signed with a label, and slaved my life away. But that didn't feel like the right path. Plus, it would feel like a waste of time and resources, having spent 20% of my life here in crypto.
I have a real relationship with most of the 'important' or 'popular' people in this space—like, phone-number relationships. I've worked with pretty much every project that “matters” in Solana over the past 4 years of being here.
One thing I lacked was the following and notoriety of my peers and the money and time to chase my dream. I was always the behind-the-scenes guy— Mr. Make-It-Happen type sh*t.
So how does one emerge from the shadows in an industry blinded by shiny object syndrome (real) and use the game of crypto alongside the game of becoming an artist and entertainer?
I think I figured it out.
The first layer is Content. Bring you into my life. I'm great on camera and have been doing this since I was 9 years old.
The second layer is Exclusivity. Make it feel special to be a part of me and my Movement—because it is.
The third layer is Crypto. This project and what's to come.
What does the NFT mean for you?
The holders of this NFT will get to choose which songs we put in the vault and which songs we release to traditional streaming.
The music will be on Spotify—not some NFT bullsh*t. You'll be able to play it on Spotify like a regular song, but only if you have the Access Pass NFT.
I will be live-streaming while I make the music, I'll be gaming, and just talk to y'all. Viewers will get to vote on beats, song titles, and more. And if, for some reason, we go viral… we go viral together.
Why am I doing this?
We all took bets on 'art' becoming big brands. VCs gave millions to bad actors, and we were rugged so many f*cking times. I was part of multiple VC-funded companies that raised MILLIONS on pre-ideas, and they all went bankrupt. Every single one of them.
Celebrities came into the space, raised money, and dipped.
I've been here for 4 years. I know pretty much everyone who has a name personally and have worked with almost everyone. My track record literally lives on the internet.
If they can do it with fuzzy animals and fake names, why can't I with my image and my name?
This is about the long-term success of my brand.
“Founders” have never been transparent. I'm not a founder. I'm me. And I'm going to be as honest as possible. The token will exist because it has to—that's the nature of this game we call crypto. TF do I look like launching something but not playing the game?
But this is what I believe this space enables for people like me. I live my f*cking life on camera. I'll be live pretty much all the time. I can't hide anything. I'm just choosing to stay independent and take a creative route into bringing my career to the next level.
We get to build this sh*t together. And instead of working for some sh*tty record label or dumb*ss wannabe 'CEO', I'm going to be working for y'all. LMAO. Imagine being early to Kai Cenat and having a stake in his success. Now imagine the same for Drake. Now imagine someone who's both of those characters, and you get the chance to be early on that person.
Hi, I'm Whish. Let's do this—Together. Make money off my name, lose money off my name. Whatever you do, let's just play this f*cking game together.
